The Wednesday after your hire date

Please wait until the Wednesday after your hire date to complete your enrollment. This will allow time for the General Dynamics Service Center (GDSC) to add your information to their system.

To make your benefit elections, visit gdbenefits.com or call the GDSC at 888-432-3633. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to midnight Eastern, except NY Stock Exchange holidays. 

You have 31 days to enroll

You have 31 days from your hire date to enroll in the following benefits:

  • Medical benefits
  • Dental benefits
  • Vision benefits
  • Health Savings Account contributions (if eligible; contributions can be changed at any time during the year)
  • Flexible Spending Account contributions
  • Supplemental long-term disability (LTD)
  • Supplemental life, spouse life and child life*

*Evidence of Insurability (EOI) will be required for certain levels of supplemental life insurance.

Voluntary benefits within first 31 days

The following voluntary benefits must also be elected within your first 31 days:

  • Accident insurance
  • Commuter benefits
  • Critical illness insurance
  • Hospital indemnity insurance
  • Legal Service Plan

Automatic 401(k) enrollment

The 401(k) plan has automatic enrollment. If you are 18 years or older you will be automatically enrolled at 6% of your pay after 30 days, unless you opt-out of participation.

Contribution amounts can change at any time.
