Anthem BCBS is the administrator of our four medical plans and the provider network. All medical plan options have in-network and out-of-network coverage. You pay less when you go to an in-network provider due to their contracted, lower rates with Anthem BCBS. Anthem also provides virtual care options, care management and utilization management services – which includes precertification of surgery, hospitalization, and certain medical procedures.
Prescription drug coverage is included in the medical plan. Visit the prescription drug benefits page for details.
As an Anthem BCBS member, employees qualify for discounts on products and services that help promote better health and well-being. To find the discounts available to you, log in to your Anthem account, choose 'Care' and select 'Discounts'.
Visit anthem.com or call 844-274-9561 to request ID cards, locate a participating provider, ask questions about claims or plan coverage, or review the status of a claim.
An Anthem BCBS benefit summary is located in the documents at the bottom of this page. Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) can be accessed via gdbenefits.com.
